The 8th edition of the GTI AWARDS 2022
chaired by an international jury, rewards the best innovative projects of islands on circular economies and sustainable tourism
|Projects have to be submitted by and no later than October 7th|
and the winner will be announced at the GTI eConvention 2022.
|All island projects worldwide are allowed to participate including programmes, initiatives and policies that engage the community at large as well as the different island stakeholders in a multisectoral approach. To empower a true circular economy on islands, innovative projects should integrate solutions in at least one, preferably with synergies among two or more the following sectors:|
One of the objectives of the GTI Awards is to identify and promote the most deserving sustainable island destination, advocating new models of sustainable tourism. In fact, allowing good practices to be replicated on islands and remote locations is crucial to avoid common mistakes and accelerate their sustainable transition and is at the heart of the GTI Observatory’s activity.
Submitting an application the island hosting the project will automatically become a
GTI Observatory Island Entry Level.
