RES WINS OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT AWARD AT TOP INDUSTRY EVENT
RES, celebrating its 40th year in the renewables industry, provides Support Services (Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance) to over 1.7 GW of solar and storage assets across the globe. Using in-house skillsets and years of experience, RES was commended for developing new ways to improve the market average availability of assets under its management. Combining the skillset of its Analysis and Optimisation team, in-house custom-built technology, use of artificial intelligence, its 24/7/365 Control Centre, and experienced on-site O&M engineers, RES has developed a tool to proactively schedule maintenance at the most opportune times and limit the downtime of assets, thus keeping clean, green electricity flowing.
RES was also praised for achieving ISO 55001 certification for asset management, passing its most recent audit with zero non-conformance’s as well as working with clients to find ways to promote biodiversity and enhance habitats for a range of species.
Simon Deacon, RES’ Operations and Maintenance Director, said: “We’re very proud of this award and believe it validates the hard work of the team who are constantly innovating to improve the performance of the operational assets we manage. By combining all our skills and knowledge with increased automation we’re creating more time to focus on problem solving. The result is we’re finding those difficult to identify marginal gains and even more innovative ways to optimise assets.
“We’ve seen exceptional growth of our solar and storage O&M portfolio recently and this award supports our continued expansion in 2022.”
RES is the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, active in onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage, transmission and distribution. In its 40-year history, RES has delivered more than 22GW of renewable energy projects across the globe.
