Even with an economic slowdown, Mexico’s electricity demand is projected to grow exponentially in the next 15 years. However, CFE’s current infrastructure can’t satisfy these demands with the cancellation of the auction system and two HVDC transmission projects.

Mexico still needs to achieve its 35% clean energy target by 2024 while meeting growing electricity demand. Corporate demand for clean energy is also increasing with Mars, Inc. procuring 100% wind energy to power all six of its manufacturing plants.

What are the real benefits vs. risks of corporate and merchant PPAs in Mexico? What can we expect from the AMLO Administration? How will public and corporate entities develop Mexico’s clean energy future?

Zuma Energía, Mitsui, Canadian Solar, Invenergy and PwC will join our Wood Mackenzie experts to answer these key questions at our Mexico Power & Renewables Forum in Austin, October 28th.
