Bosch: strong core business is basis for further development Long-term corporate strategy paying off

The Bosch Group expects global economic growth to slow. Accordingly, the technology and services company expects to see comparatively modest sales growth of between 3 and 5 percent in the current year. This was announced by Franz Fehrenbach, the chairman of the Bosch board of management, at the annual press conference held at company headquarters near Stuttgart. “There is still a great deal of uncertainty with regard to future economic developments, even though the sovereign debt crisis in the euro zone has been defused slightly,” Fehrenbach said. In the first quarter of 2012, sales increased year on year by some 5 percent, despite the cooling of the global economy and difficult developments in a number of European markets. The greatest relative growth was achieved in Industrial Technology, followed by Automotive Technology. Developments in the Consumer Goods and Building Technology business sector were more moderate.

Version 3.3 of the StecaGrid Configurator extended with extra selection possibilities

The further developed StecaGrid Configurator offering even more flexibility in the planning of grid-feed photovoltaic systems is now available. Version 3.3 has additional selection possibilities allowing the development of even more individual concepts for the customer.

Among the new features is the inclusion of the new 70 percent rule: If this is clicked on the "Inverter page", the configurator searches for a design relationship where the output power is only 70 percent of the module power. The new configurator also takes reactive power into account. The values "1.00", "0.95" or "0.90" can be selected in the "Cos Phi" field. Based on this decision, the inverters capable of providing the required reactive power are now available for the design process. With this new data entry possibility, Steca also takes into account that the inverter may no longer be able to provide the rated maximum reactive power at the specified cos phi value.
