Q.CELLS expands   its  footprint   in  the  Bulgarian photovoltaic  market.  The international photovoltaic  company  will deliver solar  modules  with a total output   of  11  MWp to  its  partner   FILKAB JSC,  a  leading  Bulgarian   electro  company.   Moreover, Q.CELLS will deliver further  5 MWp of the same  module  types to SOLARPRO HOLDING, the biggest EPC company  in Bulgaria.  FILKAB plans  to build  solar installations with around  46,800  crystalline solar modules  of the Q.PRO series  in the Bulgarian  towns Brezovo, Sliven, Staro Zhelezare,  Tvarditsa and  Nova Zagora by the  end  of May 2012. SOLARPRO HOLDING plans  to realize  a 5 MWp project in the  town of Dobrich  using  21,300 Q.CELLS modules. All together  the  solar  parks  planned will have an energy output  of about  20,000 MWh per year and will generate as much  electricity  as being consumed by 5,500 households as well as save 9.2  million tons CO2 per annum.

SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES (SINGULUS) developed a new machine concept with the product name MATERIA for the cleaning of silicon chunks and ingot saw off cuts for the manufacturing of crystalline solar cells. The first MATERIA cleaning machine was delivered to a renowned US customer. The system was successfully installed at the customer’s site in the 1st quarter 2012.

This year’s European Solar Days Brussels event will make the connection between the social and economic dimension of solar energy, while attempting to bridge the concerns of policymakers with those of the public at large.

DEGERenergie has shipped 112 DEGERtraker with MLD technology to Apex Construction Services, LLC, in the USA and installed them together with Apex´ construction team. The systems have been installed in four solar fields that began operation on April 14, 2012. The Aluminum parts are supplied by Hydro Aluminum Extrusion Americas. The international solar industry is meeting at Intersolar China for the second time this year. In no other Asian country has the market for solar energy developed so dynamically over the last year as in China. Last year, Intersolar China became part of the worldwide network of international Intersolar exhibitions and conferences, which also includes global events in Munich, San Francisco and Mumbai. This year, around 250 exhibitors are expected to present their latest products and services from the areas of photovoltaics and solar thermal technologies across an exhibition space covering 11,000 square meters. The annual exhibition takes place from December 12–14, 2012, at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. The Intersolar China Conference begins the day before, on December 11, and ends on December 13, 2012, the second day of the exhibition. Around 500 industry experts from China and around the world are expected to attend the conference at the InterContinental Hotel in Beijing.
