Horb am Neckar, Germany, April 2011. DEGERenergie has expanded Sales Director Rainer Ott’s scope of responsibilities: As of now, he is in charge of the entire company’s global sales. DEGERenergie is the global market leader for solar tracking systems. Worldwide, more than 47,000 DEGERenergie systems are installed in 46 countries.
Rainer Ott has been working at DEGERenergie since early 2011. Until now, the Sales Director above all managed the business of DEGERenergie’s subsidiaries in Spain, Greece and the USA. Before the global market leader for solar tracking systems hired him, Rainer Ott had been a successful sales and marketing manager for different technology companies. He brings a broad range of experience in international business operations and strategic partnerships to draw upon in his new role at DEGERenergie.
As Sales Director with global responsibility, Rainer Ott’s main task is promoting the internationalization of DEGERenergie. Major aspects are the expansion of the international distribution network and opening up new markets.
“The energy turnaround has brought considerable movement into the global market for renewable energies,” says Rainer Ott. “This, however, does not mean that the framework conditions in the solar sector have automatically become easier everywhere. Nonetheless: DEGERenergie is well-prepared for the often tough competition. We are well established on numerous international markets, can draw upon years of experience and well-tuned global distribution networks. We are the undisputed market leader in terms of technology as well as price-performance ratio and can count on our competent sales staff. I am looking forward to contributing my share to the company’s successful future.”
